Mine are seasonal:

Winter: Breckenridge or Steamboat Springs, Colorado
Spring: Mountains of Tennessee, Georgia, North Carolina
Summer: The Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic. Take the boat and just find an island or 10 to stop off and get drunk on.
Fall: Auburn, Alabama. That's my vacation in the Fall, Auburn Football. Going to the games.

Would like to venture out and see the world now that I can.

UM ... I loved going to North Carolina ... Tennessee (GSMNP), up to the lake, Ottawa, Florida .. anywhere where I can stay for cheap or free (FAMILY/FRIENDS) and actually experiance the culture, not just the touristy spots.

I also don't visit places for landmarks (Although I don't mind seeing them). I can see them all in pictures Laughing

Don't have a favorite place, I just go where I feel like going. SC, OR, FL, CA, what ever comes to mind. I did OR last month, and I have a Cruise booked for November and I might hit Myrtle Beach next month for a long weekend.

ontrider - Never have ridden around waterloo. When I'm in chatham (every summer before this one) I ride on the Thames River (I live right on it at it's widest point). Up north my grandparents have a trailer in a park right on Pidgeon Lake, so when I'm on vacation up there (maybe 1 or 2 weekends a year now) I'm ride there ...

This summer I've only been out once because I'm in Milton. Next summer I'm in school, so I'm trying to talk my dad into letting me keep the boat in waterloo. Aparently there's a lake 20 minutes north of my that's pretty empty during the week.

Puslinch and Conestoga are the only ones around there aren't they.
Lack of riding sucks though.

Yeah .. Conestoga is probably 15-20 minutes north, northeast of my place in waterloo. That's the one I was talking about.. I think Puslinch is a bit further, plus it'd be highway driving which would be SLOW late afternoons. (esp highway Cool

Broccoli B, Price really depends. Wifey & I spent a little under 4k last time for 7 days in a sweet house, snorkel or dive trips every day & plenty of partying. You can do it for lots less depending on your activities & accomodations. It was sweet to get up in the morning & have a boat with a guide waiting for you on the private pier Cool Definitely worth all I spent.

89comp, yeah we ate those fish, along with 3 lobsters the guide speared and a few other fish. After we caught it all the guide took us to a beach & made the best beach barbeque I've ever had.

atolman, Hey man, that sounds nice...do you have a travel agent who has everyhting pre-arranged...you know, the guy who shows up with the boat to go fishing, the beach BBQ's, the diving...etc

That sounds like a prefect get-away, just wondering how you get everything planned.

We didn't have a travel agent or anything but did a bunch of research before we went. This is the island http://ambergriscaye.com/ There's tons of info on the site as well as a message board where you can ask any questions you have. We booked the house through these guys http://ambergriscaye.com/m-m/index.html

The island has a ton of dive shops where you can book all your trips & stuff. Basically all the resorts & places to stay have someone there who will set you up with anything you want to do while you're there.

You can also book through some of the main travel sites. We booked our flight through priceline.com & got a pretty good deal. It's only a 2 1/2 hr flight from Houston to Belize city & then you catch a little puddle jumper to the island.

Couer D'Alene, and it is SUCKY for wakeboarding (if thats what you went there for) I spend most of my time hanging out at the lake and downtown and CDA is a pretty sweet spot. If you want wakeboarding in that area though, check out the river or Hayden Lake.
