Is it just me or is the X-2 really small - I assume it is still a V-Drive, but I do not see any where for the engine to go.

Am I missing something?

The X2 is actually a pretty short boat, only 20 feet. But it is very wide, 98 inches I believe. The interior is as big as my 22' Avalanche, it's amazing. Looks like they stuffed half the engine under the back seat because the sun deck is about half the size of an X1. Pretty innovative.

I can't wait to try the new manual wedge. Early reviews are that it is sick.

J-Ro, pardon my ignorance, but is that not what they had before the power wedge?

garveyj, the new (non power) wedge does'nt lock into the down position. It floats freely and adjusts according to the boats speed.
For example, when the boat is coming up out of the hole, it doesn't drag the boat down into the water creating more drag (and waste gas for that matter)....once the boat is up to speed on plane it has dropped itself to the position to where it's creating the downforce to the transom creating wake....and vise versa.

it's easier to explain when not typing. Laughing

K-dub, You don't know nothing. It's for skiing. It makes the wake smaller by lifting the boat, like a sky ski or an air chair. Who the hell do you think you are, a boat salesman?

J-Ro, you're right.

I was trying not to say it, but Malibu has now been purchased by Tige', and they were forced to use Taps 2 on all of thier boats this year.

It's all smoke and mirrors, I tell ya!

There...the cat's out of the bag now. Sad

K-dub, I knew that as soon as they sold the company to Tige, this kind of thing would happen. Bunch of sell-outs!
