spotted some 07's

so travelling on the highway today, 2 brand new 07 malibus went by, had to speed up to catch them. The first was the 07 247 xti, my first though was have huge this boat actually is, it was covered in plastic wrap yet i could see the direct drive engine layout, and from the size, it was for sure the new xti. Not that much to tell you about. The second was the vtx, its alot deeper than I thought it would be, 2 redesigned gorilla fins, the hull looked different, the entry level looked completely different from the 06's. All in all, it went by fast, but looks like dealers are starting to order them in....

Not a fan of Tige either, but that's the first really good-looking picklefork I've seen. I mean the Xstar is sick and all, but I just looks a little wierd, smae with the x-2. MB's new picklefork is another story. That thing's designer must have been trippin on acid.

Wake looks nice but that girl looks about 4.5 ft tall so it's hard to gauge how big it is.

I was sceptical at first as were many but I'm really coming round to their design. Many may notice the super deep V... looks like potentially a big wake with decent rough water handling...

They never fixed the bracket for the new stereo remote? (under the dash.) It makes it kind of difficult to turn the volume up. I figured that they would fix that before they made the final "production" models. The old bracket works great for the older remote, but doesn't fit the new large one so good...

They just need to make the thing 1 inch longer and bingo, problem solved. I noticed it on my friend's '07 but assumed they left it because his boat is the first 07 VLX out of the molds. I have a feeling they'll be changing that one at some point though.

I'm with you though, I don't know about the 2 piece hatch... I guess I just don't see the benifit to it... But to each their own I suppose.

But I do like the new trim around the rocker switches.

DRAGON88, my theory....it costs less $$$ to make a 2 piece hatch than it does a 3 piece....

I have a feeling the early 07 models will have the old remote bracket....the further they move into production, the more "little" things will change.

Happens every year.

I'm really digging the new look of the dash.

K-dub, Talking to one of the guys at the factory, the 2 piece was to get rid of the pins and the possible blowing up of the doors while towing.

DRAGON88, The engine hatch on the older ones had really weak hinges, and the hatch would flop over and bend the pneumatic cylinders

tiges are sick looking id like one...tomcats are ugly as hell but throw a sick wake and the new malibus look like the old only with better colors. i still think id take a new xstar over them all Shocked
