lace broke and board cracked

A friend's bored cracked today and a lace came unstiched on his bindings. Do you think he can return it? Its been a year and he most likely doesnt have his receipt. The crack is right up by the fin and its not to bad. And the lace doesnt affect the riding much, but it is an inconvience.

Well what kind of "bored" does your friend have? It might be a warranty issue, but thats really up to the manufacturer.

Liquid force bindings and board. The bindings are elements and the board is hmm ill post that later. Cant remember at the exact moment.
