|
|
Partly DIY.... I've got a 1990 Sanger DX Skier with no tower. I didn't want a pylon rack as the boards would still be in the way when moving about the boat, so I bought the "fingers" from ebay and some stainless handicap rails from Lowes along with some stainless hardware....
Here's the result. No more boards on the floor..... My only concern was whether there would be visibility issues, but there are none. Once on plane, there's a completely clear view of the rider.

goerlich, Alright! Nowthere's some thinkin', sweet job...
Couple things - did the "fingers" come with the clamps to clamp them to the HC rails?
You DID include large backing plates under the rail - there'll be a fair amount of torque transfered to that 2" diameter mounting plate when you hit a wake and could cause spider/stress cracking without the proper back-up... _________________ just broad reachin' thru life... |

Thanks for the comments.
The backing plates are 1/8" Stainless... and the fingers/clamps are all combined...
Here's a link to the fingers on ebay. His ebay ID is jimtrix565
Seemed like the shipped direct from the manufacturer.

Great job ll around...I was thinking of something like this for wakesurfers as they don't fit in the conventional board rack but perhaps if I cut out the center "finger" there'll be enough room _________________ just broad reachin' thru life... |
