The flats won't be as soft obviously... the softest landings will be right on the downslope of the second wake.

Oh... Nothing like a nice lofty tantrum right to the downside of the wake Wink

if youre landing inside the wake you probally "cased" the wake. it feels like jumping off your roof onto concrete. if you keep doing this dont get frustrated and just cut in a lil harder. the best and softest place to land is going down the oppisite side of the wake. it feels super smooth. if by chance you get "lucky" and make it to the flats just absorb a lot of the shock with your knees. and if you keep crumpling up on the landings work on landing and really exaggerating you knee bend. and remember always just have fun!!!

thekpan, didn't they test that myth by droppin buster (their dummy) with a hammer dangling beneath him to break up the water and it didn't make much of a difference?

Any way, i believe you are correct.......i believe..... Confused

So basically you want to land on the downslope of the wake? I always thought that when performing tricks you should be landing in the flats?
Thanks for the input guys!

You can land wherever you like... big air into the flats will just be harder on the knees/heels etc.

IMO, the downslope feels like butter...flats seem a little harder but it feels great to get out there...worst place to land is right inside the wake (ouch)!

Its harder due to the surface tension of the water. That and the face that you are landing flat instead of going slightly down like when you land going down the wake. I think?

the best place to land is on the slope of the 2nd wake. it feels good. the flats are a little more rough on ur knees, but its kool to get that far.

its harder to land inside the wake because you are trying to get over that wake so you already suck your knees and when you case the wake you can't bend youor knees as much.

Also if u land slitghty on an edge the landings will be softer

Yeah I'm pretty sure Buster died in that one, however you won't be falling from the top of a crane so that doesn't matter
