I am 16 and i just learned how to wakeboard. I have a problem with w2w. I get plenty of air but i always land on top of the wake. My friends say i am not standing enough.....what do they mean by standing and how do i do that. I am a girl and i am not afraid to attempt any stunts. I have already been knocked out and cracked a rib....please help me out!!! I need some tips. I want to accomplish my goal.

15 years old

been riding for a few years, It is good to cut out alot, but the key is to obtain a good edge in. When cutting in you should bend your legs and lean against the boat, this creates line tension.

another key is to have good timing, even if you have a strong cut, if your timing is off you will case it every time. make sure that you straighten your legs when your nose is near the peak of the wake. this generates pop.

you should make a video of your self wake boarding so we can actually see what is happening, this would help alot

if u are getting plenty of air to clear the wake, then your technic is probably alright. u could try shortening the rope about five feet or so. that should make the wakes a little closer, and easier to jump.

ok here is my first tip: TURN OFF CAPS LOCK

second tip: try to keep the handle near the middle if your waist.

third tip: it sounds like you are looking at the opposite wake or something over there, try to look at the boat, if you look to the opposite side you will begin to rotate in that direction.

wake princess, what happened that you had to stay in the hospital and put the board away for the summer?

I got a totally knocked out for like a good half hour or so......and then when i woke up i was in an ambulance...my whole body was hurting...usually i have a high pain tolerance too. But anyways i Have a concussion and the doc says i am done for the season. And then i tore a ligament in my knee, that hurt like a mother. So yeah, unfortunatly i am done for the season. I just gotta get ready for snowboarding. Neutral Smile

Ha Ha u don't wanna know. It was like a freak accident type deal lol. We got pulled over by lake authority for something...still havent figured that out yet. But anyways, when the cops pulled us over he cut off another guys boat to get to us so the guy he cut off, didn't know what the hell he was doing and swerved to the side of me.so, here i am in mid air and the boat came at me , when i got closer to landing i hit the side of the boat i guess. I don't remember much all i remember was saying oh stuff as i was lookin at the boat. But its all good i am fine now. It just sucks LOL

Thats crazy stuff! It sounds like the cop was at fault too. Can cops be considered Wally's? Cuz that sounds like a wally move to me.
