Well, let me start by stating that I think most flight attendants are arrogant and rude. Some are very professional and nice but over the last few years flying, I have found them to be extremely unhappy and unprofessional.

I always bring my own drinks and food because it seems they are inconvienced when I ask for a cup of coffee or water.

Now with these news bans most likely stayin, how the hell I am ever gonna get a glass of water or a coffee? Mad

I met and then dated an American Airlines flight attendant who also modeled for Ujena Swimwear and Coors Extra Gold (yes, that long ago). Nothing like having your chick only show up for 2-3 nights a month. F*ing greatness.

I hate them. They are like cops in the air. Arrogant and cocky as hell. Rude as all fiddlesticks. porkchop them. I don't care how much anyone preaches their great need, they suck. And my friend married one. She tries to act like she's saving the world or something. Rolling Eyes

muckmeister, what do you expect from a person with a job they really can't get fired from, and if you mess with them, they can have you arrested upon landing?

?!?Interfering with a flight crew?!?

What the heck do they care. Even if they have you falsely arrested, no skin off their teeth they are not getting in any trouble over it.

Honestly, the nicest FA's seem to be from Southwest. They seem to give a sh*t. They also have no union to go to bat for them if they get a complaint filed against them.

My worst encounter with a flight attendant came when I flew from NY with Continental. I was very tired after walking around Manhattan all day and I finally fell asleep.. After about 10 minutes I wake up because one of the attendants is standing over me and throwing bags of peanuts on me Shocked

Not one bag, not two, but THREE bags! So I ask her what her Bubb Rubbing problem is and she just smiles and says she thought I was hungry..
However...overall I think most of them are doing a good job.

J_DOGG, she DID fly out of Boston for the first 6 months we dated. I met her on the flight home from college when mom still lived in Concord. I'll sh*t if you really did date her, although I wouldn't be suprised. Pretty sure I was sharing her w/ Steve Burlein at the time anyway.

Only pics I have of her are almost 15 years old. I was 19 and she was 26. I lied to her so she'd go out with me. I think I have a glamour shots pic of her somewhere at the house.

I've never had problems with flight attendants - have flown a ton of times over the past few years (trans-atlantic, within Europe and within Canada). Maybe it's just the US flights that have so many issues? Although I don't get why they would...

I fly all the time and I've never had any waitress refuse to serve me. They are always more than happy to hand me my nuts.

One thing that I've learned the older I get, service doesn't have to be immediate so long as you service them. If all three need immediate service I can handle that also. I learned the art of delegation in college. Cool
