I have some simple newbie questions
i know theyve been in other posts but all i want right noe are just some straight ansers

How far out TS do you go to clear the wake HS?
When attempting to clear the wake do you straighten yuor board when you hit the top of the wake?

Do you have to cut insanely hard to clear the wake?
Is it easier to do it in the seated position (clearing the wake)?
Is it easier in tall position (standing with little bend)?
When you come at the wake can you just hold the edge and not jumop or stand tall or flatten goard?

Thanks for the anser if you do

Sorry if it sounds a little rude but i need to clear the wake by the end of the summer

Peace

You want to edge out as far as you feel needed. There really isnt a determined length where you have to jump the wake at its different for all boats and your technique. Work on your progressive edge and you want to stand tall at the wake so you maximize your pop. By standing tall I mean you want to have very little bend to your legs. You want to increase your edge progressively until its fully loaded at the wake. Hope I could be of some help.

I'll try to elaborate on what Oasis137 said. The distance you go TS is really dependent on the individual wakeboarder and the wake...most people say they edge out about 15 feet before turning back towards the wake. You may need to go more if that's not enough, you may not have to go that far if your technique is good enough...
You want to edge through the wake. In other words don't flatten your board out. That edge is what gives you the pop you are looking for. When people talk about "standing tall" at the wake, they are talking about locking their legs out, not standing as tall above the water as possible (i.e. flattening the board out.) What I try to do is focus on edging hard and locking my knees out right at the trough of the wake. That way you don't lose your edge, and you don't absorb the wake because of flexed knees. Hope that helps. Good luck.

Check the length of the rope as well. You can get good at a shorter distance, then move back.

I've been riding for a few years, It is good to cut out alot, but the key is to obtain a good edge in, to do this you cannot just get in a sitting down position, although this is a start. When cutting in you should lean against the boat, this creates line tension, so you must bend your legs, and lean against the boat.

another key is to have good timing, even if you have a strong cut, if your timing is off you will case it every time. make sure that you straighten your legs when your nose is near the peak of the wake.

If you can make a video of your self wake boarding so we can actually see what is happening, this would help alot

The Book will help

no my bro always told me to straighten my legs, however don't have your knees straight when you land, have them kind of bent

and when you do land make sure to continue your edge, don't just stop, your momentum will keep going

alright so i went out this weekend and it turns out i get closer to clearing if i come hard HS then, wen i hit the wake i just push up with my legs

so the advice where you have to flatten your board dosen't work

could it be the fact that the wakes not big enough,or theres no pylon

lemme know
