Need board help

Ok I have never boarded and neither has my girlfriend.

She is 5'8" and weighs about 140 lbs.

I am 5'8" and weigh 191 lbs.

We both slalom ski and want to start boarding and footin. I have a Mastercraft so I think we would like some decent stuff not too rich but not too cheap either.

What boards do you suggest?

I started on a hyperlite state 135 '06 but get a big board and don't buy cheap. buy some used stuff but a good brand name b4 u buy a hyperslide or an off brand. good brands are liquid force and hyperlite. make sure u get the right bindings.

I have a Hyperlite Motive. It's my first board and I think it's good for beginner to intermediate level. Hyperlite makes a girl's version called the Divine...only difference between the Motive and the Devine is the girl graphics. So, I would say buy a Motive that fits you both...
