my friend has an 06 chaparral,in my opinion they have the nicest wakes out of all i/o's.those wakes actually compare to some wake-specific boats

Nice wake....

I use a run-about as well. You will really like the wake if you add the sacs. I put a 440lb across the back and a 440lb up the front alleyway and it produces a nice well formed wake.

I recommend putting one in the front and one in the back, as the runabouts have issue staying on plane at 20ish MPH if you back weight it too much. This can be easily overcome if you have a good driver who can accelerate into the corners, or use PerfectPass with a very agressive feedback setting.

Unfortunately, due to the hull shape you and I will never be able to get a true wake boat wake. You will notice that the wake will never get as steep (abrupt) as you get on a wake boat. I really notice this when I go back and forth between my boat (runabout) and my buddies boat (Nautique)

my 2 cents....

The question is how short do you have to ride to hit it right...
