| I'm working on this trick. Any tips? I think I have the rotation, it's just a matter of landing. So any little suggestions to make the whole thing easier would be sweet. |

| I assume you mean HS R2R. How are your hs fs 180s? Can you take them big and land comfortably? |

it depends which side you are wanting to do a roll to revert; heelside or toeside?
heelside, just do the regular backroll, but off the wake let your shoulders face the rear of the boat a little more...just open up your front side to the boat more. about 3/4 of the way through, pull with your back hand to your rear hip (left foot forward, pull to right hip, the rear hip). watch your landing on the way down so you know when you will land and you bend your knees to make the impact softer. hold on with both hands and it should come around fairly easily. make sure you can land perfectly on a HS FS 180 because it's a little different doing just a 180 and doing a flip with a 180.
toeside, just throw the backroll as normal, but again, open your body a little more to the rear of the boat. pull with your rear hand to your back hip and spot the landing. as long as you hold on with both hands throughout the whole trick, you shouldn't have trouble pulling it around.
hope that helps...i'm sure more people will give you more tips. |

regular roll but pull to your back hip and bring it forward. common mistake is landing on your heels so make sure you stick your chest out and keep it over your toes. let go with your back hand as you land and it will help with the control.
if your good switch try it half cab, alot easier since your landing in your normal position _________________ CRAIGkelly.JEFFanderson.TRISTONpicott |

all I think about is keep both hand on the handle untill your upside down, let go your front hand (right hand for goofy and left hand for regular). spot your landing and enjoy.
oh yeah, keep the handle close !
don't even think about spinning _________________ if you don't fall, that's cause you don't try |

ohio_wake_2008, You say to open your chest toward the boat? that seems like it would counter the spin. I am constantly slipping on my heals. I was told to throw the board more behind me as I come off the wake to start my rotation. It seems I have tried everything and nothing prevents me from slipping out on my heals. I cannot seem to get over my damn toes! _________________ My therapist says it is all your fault. |

Can anyboady tell me why the momentum in my lower body keeps making me slip out on my heels? How do you slow down your rotation? _________________ My therapist says it is all your fault. |

| you don't need to rotate this one quite as fast as the backroll. just slow it down a bit to make sure you land with weight over your toes. |

But how do you? I feel like I am not going to get any pop when slowing it down and I still have to much lower body momentum. _________________ My therapist says it is all your fault. |

| well you need to pop first and then throw it. if you are just rolling off the back of the wake and that's why you can't alter the rotation speed then you are doing it wrong. |

Pop first, then throw it? That makes no sense to me. My Backroll seems perfectly fine. In my mind it should be a BR with a slight tug with my back arm. _________________ My therapist says it is all your fault. |

| watch a video of a pro doing a hs r2r. the board goes behind them a little bit. when you open your shoulders towards the boat that sends the board more behind you when you leave the wake. the reason you don't need to rotate as fast is because it is going behind you some. if the board goes directly over your head then it has further to travel than if it goes behind you. |

Gotcha.... So it is more of a mexican roll? If the board fly's behind you you are doing a sort of front flip. _________________ My therapist says it is all your fault. |

| no, not a mexi roll at all. you roll to your side, and the board rotates tip over tail but instead of going up and over you it shoots off behind you a little more. someone post a video... |

| gene3x, that's why i said to open your chest to the boat...it's a regular backroll, but you are doing more of a cartwheel rotation instead of a roll. remember, it's a fs 180. |

I have landed 3 of them but don't know what I did to slow the rotation down.
I will open my chest more and see what that does.
Also have you looked at my Scarecrow post? having a little trouble there also. _________________ My therapist says it is all your fault. |

ohio_wake_2008, It helped me to open up toward the boat. Thanks. i am hitting them more than 50% now. Isn' that a mexican roll rotation though? I feel like I am letting my feet fly out behind me. _________________ My therapist says it is all your fault. |

| gene3x, a mexican roll is more of a "front roll," although there is no such thing. you are going to want to do a mexican roll when you are doing a hs roll 2 blind. |
