I can get the handle pass and land back on the board every time, but when i land i crumble in. Sometimes its because ive rotated the spin too slow, but whenever i trip harder at the wake and add more rotation to compensate for the BS 180 portion, i over rotate and fall on my back. Its like there is no middle ground between falling towards the wake and falling on my back.

You know, I was having the same problem with those things and here's how I fixed it: I'm naturally a pretty hairy dude so I simply shaved my chest, which cut down the air resistance making me much more aerodynamic, and things worked out just peachy. Judging by the way you are falling I would be willing to bet you are pretty hairy yourself. Am I right? Trust me, Dude. It will change your life. You have to stay on top of it though; things can start to get a little prickly if you don't shave it pretty regularly. Godspeed, Brother. Be sure to let us know how things are going.

Well, in most cases your right, however: if all you did was simply shave your chest then you are mistaken. In addition to the shaved chest you have to have a double chin to balance out the weight you lost from your now shaven chest, therefore speeding up your rotation in the flipping portion. I prefer not to go that route, thanks for the input though.

haha true. But I have this rule that I will only work on a few tricks at the same time. That way I can develop muscle memory. This year it's the ts540, OHH, and ts backroll.

Next year the tootsie, whirly, and hopefully some OA spins.

dude, i have never tried one and probably wont for awhile, but my recommendation, and i may be way off on this, would be to try and rotate the 180 more so instead of crunching like under rotating a tantrum your over/under rotation would be destributed more tip to tail on landing rather than edge to edge. i read or watched somewhere that a scarecrow should look like youre coming out of a switch hs front, so my guess would be that a tootsie can be similar.
that is all assuming when you say crunch, you are crunching in the matter that i am assuming

put more aggression into the handle-pass. the b/s 180 wont happen on its own, and huckin it harder will only make you over-rotate the flip. to get more spin without fallin out the back you need to pull on the handle HARD off the wake, then it will be easy to grab and when landing try and open ur new lead shoulder up to the boat and edge away. this should cure your troubles, good luck.
