Ive been wakeboarding for couple months and havnt started on inverts yet. i am riding a boat that doesnt have a tower but will be getting on in the next couple weeks. How does my air look for not having a tower. then when i get a tower think it will be bigger?? also do u think i can get a backroll around with the amount of air i have now.

backrolls are all about form and don't need a whole lot of air

ya dog... ,but anyways your getting plenty of air,a backroll isnt really about the amount of air you get,its about how fast you get the roll around.check the trick tips on the home page of this site,it gives you step-by-step instructions on this trick

i would suggest that you learn how to ride switch and do most of the 180s before learning inverts.. that way you will be able to progress MUCH faster later down the line without have to go back and learn simple stuff

hes gonna eat water... holding on the the handle keeps the rotation goign.. if you let go it slows down and you will catch an edge

ive been trying back rolls on my first one i totally sucked up my legs on the take off and i still cleared my head so it wasnt a hard fall but i would agre wtih wtbamoomba you should learn esaier tricks first so you dont have to learn them later. but when you try the back roll the most important thing is to look for your landing with your head when my dad tried a backroll he didnt do this so he landed on his head and now he has a puntured ear drum! but you really dont need alot of pop to do a backroll i know somone taht can do one and he gets way less pop than you do in your pic

With the Height in that Pic yes you can land a backroll easily. With that said I'm with everyone else work on all your 180s and riding switch first. Also work on keeping both hands on the handle on you wake jumps unless you going for a grab. For the backroll this is going to help speed up the rotation.
good luck

You might just be able to squeze in a backroll (withput a tower but if you do have a tower then you will mack it easaly)
Hope this helps
