i dont clear the wake cuz i told my dad to slow down a bit and the wake was really wide. we were going about 20 and my previous attempts hurt really bad!

but anyways...i cannot get the handle no matter how hard i pull. i have touched it with my other hand but thats the closest i ever get. i have also practiced with the milk carton thing. (not very long though). Am i on the right track? getting close? any help is greatly appreciated!

thanks

Hi, I will try to give you some advices (Sorry for my English, I'm from France...)

The answer is : the edge...
So, for the 360, you need a POP EDGE. What you do is a progressive edge (like for a Backroll, Riley...) and you create to much line tension (that's why you can't catch the handle). For the 360, you need a very wide approach, turn slowly, and take a seated position with your elbows locked to your ribs, and don't build lot of speed. You have to feel on your arms that you don't have very much line tension. When you hit the wake do a ollie of the wake and WAIT (to stay on axis) ... then, at the top of your jump, begin the rotation by pulling on the handle. If you want to do it W2W shorten the rope during your learning phase.
The key of the 360, and all the on axis spins is the EDGE (seated, hands close to your chest by locking your elbows to you ribs, not to much line tension...)
Trust me, If you do that, the end of the trick will be very easy...

Laurent, is pretty much right on. edge in slowly and seated, try to pop and go straight up. wait just a split seciond to get on axis and then pull and pass the handle. easy as cake.

OK, i just watched the video. except for the handle pass, i really only see one thing wrong with it. you need to set your axis before you go into the spin. when i leave the wake, i kind of throw the board out in front of me a bit (towards the other wake). i had several falls like yours when i was learning them. they start to hurt after a while don't they?

wakebuddy87, yea if you follow that advise you should be getting them more consistently here soon. Edging all the way through the wake helped me out a ton. I used to have so much crap going on in my head during the trick that I would screw up. Sooner or later, if you practice edging through the wake on all your tricks you wont even have to think about it and can focus more on the handle pass, which is the most important part of the 3. Without the rope, you aint goin nowhere...Get it!

It also looks like you are starting the spin too early.
I Keep my arms a little further away from my body than you do off the top of the wake, get to the peak of my jump and then start to rotate. I pull the handle to my back hip with both hands which helps me make the pass easier.

By the looks of the vid you may want to increase the boat speed, or ride closer to the boat. Even if you got the handle in that vid you would have cased the wake pretty damn hard because of how wide that wake is.
