Can anyOne help? I have a Calabria Pro-V and yesterday I got an intermitent warning beep. I can not figue out what it was for? All gauges read within standards, temp, oil presssure, voltage, fuel etc. Oil level is perfect.

I have had a belt failure before and when the water pump stops and the engine overheats, you get a continuos beep. This is the same beep, but intermitent, but continuous, beep, beep, beep, beep........ Belt was spinning and water pump was working. I cruised back to the pier, only a mile and put it on the lift. As soon as you turn on the key and power the gauges, the intermitent beep started without even starting the engine. After a while, maybe 20 mins, when the engine was cooler, the beep stopped. I started the engine with a hose to the system and everything was fine.

Does anyone know what the intermitent beep is for? Is it a heat warning? Water temp is in the high 80s and air temperature was right aroun 100 degrees? Any help is appreciated. THANKS DR

I've got an 05 ProV and heard about many boats (mine included) with the same thing. Apparently, Mercruiser had a bad batch of sensors..fortunately, it's a 2 minute fix (the sales guy met me at the lake and swapped mine out) and is nothing harmful...just annoying. Call your dealer and have them swap it out for you...they should know exactly what to do.

Good luck!

I had a beep on my mercruiser that turned out to be a faulty water flow sensor. Replaced by dealer under warrenty.

Pull the hose at your trans cooler and check for weeds and or debris. Is your boat idling okay. IAC- Idle Air Control breaks. You have to replace small filter inside arrester often or it will fail.
