|
|
| I bought a '05 Premier 136 May of last year. I was riding this weekend and the binding ripped the threading out of my board. It wasn't overtightened or anything. Has this happened to anyone else? Was anyone else able to get a replacement or any sort of restitution from their board shop or the manufacturer?

buddy of mine stipped out the board thread, and yes, he did get a replacement from O'Brien. Call HL up and let them know what happened, they should get you a new board no problem.

| See my post a few down, same thing happened to me yesterday on my '04 CWB Nirvana. I called up CWB to see if they could help me out, he said they have oversized anchors that he can probably get me to epoxy in there, and he's going to give me a buzz tomorrow.

oops.
I thought that HL used a solid tapped plate for their boards, not the embedded nut style. Hmm, I must be thinking of O'brien.
sucks none the less, you should be able to get a brand new 06 premo from HL off the warranty - so all's not lost, just have to wait a little bit. Take it to the board shop or just call up hyperlite.

I've heard of people doing this every year, to get a new board for the next season - the luck of some people aha

| I guess I can't complain too much if I'll be getting a new board, but I hate the '06 Premier graphics. Maybe they'll have an '05 Premier they can dig up and send me....

| That happened to me on my 03 byerly, it was around 3months old when it happened. I did a raley on the cable and it popped out... I did not get warranty claim on this... My local boardshop's offer was for me to give them my damaged board and I would get a $100 discount if I got a new board from them... I thought the deal sucks since I should get a new board no questions asked! The local dealer was reasoning out to me that i cannot claim warranty since the board was used on obstacles... the damage did not come from obstacles! Talk about customer service... wow! I think they just wanted me to buy a new board from them since claiming warranty would cost them international shipping.. who knows they might even claim warranty for the damaged board if I returned it back for the deal they offered... I haven't bought a single thing from them since... even though they are the only place where you can buy wakeboarding equipment in the country.

I went directly to hyperlite for the warranty claim and they said to bring it to the local shop were i purchased it so they would be the ones to process the claim. I posted a thread here a few years ago about it and one of the hyperlite reps advised me that it should be sent in for replacement..
anyway... i was able to fix it... i had the damaged portion cut out and got the screws from a cracked LF board.. used some epoxy resin.. and it's perfectly fine
just that i need to use shorter screws on one side of my bindings and that the fact that the repaired part looks butt-ugly.. at least a portion of it is covered by the bindings
i now use it as my slider board

I have the same exact board that had the same exact problem. They epoxied mine also, but I did not care because the 05 does look nicer. Will they replace a board if it breaks after two years? I really don't ride it that much anymore but it would suck to break it again after only riding it a handful of times.

I saw a picture of it on Mastercrafts '07 X-2 Gallery and thought it was pretty sweet. All of the internet shops have funky pictures and make it seem puky brown...
