I ordered a new board & bindings 2 weeks ago (I think?) - first the delivery company sends them to the store regular instead of express... Ok fine. I can handle that.
The store then sends them Expidited, through Canada Post, to me. Everything was supposed to come either last Thursday or last Friday. So being all excited about the new gear, I make plans for the weekend. Friday rolls around, the new board shows up, and the bindings don't!
Both boxes had been shipped to me on the same day, with the exact same address on it.
I spend an hour on the phone with Canada Post trying to figure out where they are... They have no clue. The f**kers lost them. They've filed an inquiry. I hope they get it sorted out tomorrow.
Don't, for whatever reason, ever let anyone send you anything you *actually* need, through Canada Post. This has been a nightmare!
Needless to say, my weekend was ruined. |

Yeah I've got one, but they still don't know where it is. Online (and in their system when I talked to them on Friday) all it said was that it was returned to the delivery office. But, they're unable to track which delivery office it's in, and because my address is obviously fine (otherwise the board wouldn't have made it), they're not sure why it didn't make it here.
Apparantly it's somewhere in Toronto but they can't figure out where exactly.
I'm sure it'll get sorted out, but it just really pissed me off. I just seriously hope it gets sorted out before the weekend, cuz it's already been 2 weekends since I first ordered it! |

i had the exact same deal happen with ups, i called them especially a few days in advance and told them to deliver my two packages, (which i gave both tracking numbers for) together. I track them the morning of the day they're supposed to arrive, they say the board is on the truck but the bindings are still chilln at the warehouse, so i give them a call and they say the bindings are also on the truck. Of course no bindings, the next day they show up. like you however i had plans that night, and ended up with no bindings, had to strap my friends "Hobbie" bindings on my brand new Watson in order to ride. |

Natman, ordered from a store in Niagara Falls - they had to order from LF in BC, they used Canpar to ship from BC to the store, Canpar screwed up that first time... Then the store used Canada Post to send from Niagara Falls to me. The guys at the shop have been really good though, I know it's not their fault or anything, but they're still really sorry.
Ride DH, that sucks... But in a sense, I'm glad I'm not the only one who's had problems! I didn't bother bringing my board to my cottage with me this weekend, the thought of bringing a board all that way and still having to use the bindings from my old board upset me. haha..
Bill Y Bob, if the delivery guy is a wakeboarder, then he's wearing female bindings. hahaha... maybe there's not much difference between the two...
Lets hope they show up today - it still says nothing new online when I check, but I'm gonna call them and harass them soon. |

| Watch out for things where you don't have to sign for a package to be left. I got home and my 06 byerly was leaning against my apartment door. I couldn't freaking believe it.. Had I not gone straight home from work that day I probably never would have seen that board. |

Lucky for me they can't get into my building without buzzing in, so everyone usually leaves notes for delivery companies saying to leave it at the rental/management office in the building if they're not around... I did that - it seems to work ok.
Even if they miss my note and try buzzing me, it goes straight to my cell phone so I'll be able to tell them where to leave it.
When I was living in London (England), I had ordered something, and it got delivered to a random address on the other side of the city. They refused to pick it up but gave me the address of where it was, so I had to pay for a train ticket, show up at some random person's house and ask for it back. Thankfully they were nice about it... Gotta love the British customer service.
Called Canada Post twice today, still no news on where my stuff is. |

Canada post are run by a bunch of idiots. The shop I ordered my gear from just called me - the bindings had been returned to them (eventhough online it still says they're somewhere in Toronto) because my last name was not printed on the box. They say they're not allowed to deliver anything which does not have a full name on it.
The board, which I received Friday, had no name written on the box at all, just my address... so that reason is a load of b.s.
So, the shop has now written my full name on the box and is resending them to me. They're not charging me for postage again or anything, which is good. They're sending them next-business day, so I should have them tomorrow.
I'm so glad this whole thing is sorted out now. It's such a relief. |

| By idiots, do you mean a bunch of immigrants who can't speak english? I actually use Canada Post a lot because it's cheap and pretty fast, it's just the morons that run the little CP outlets in the malls and stuff, they're totally clueless most of the time. |

All the people I spoke to definitely had English as their first language - whether the people in the Delivery Office were immigrants or not, I have no clue.
Their site still says it's in Toronto waiting for address verification. It's nice to see they promptly update it and keep on track of things. I still haven't received my phone call from their 'tracer' either - which was supposed to call me as soon as they had more info... I'm gonna wait and see how long it takes, then give them a piece of my mind when/if they finally call to update me.
ontrider - they may be cheap and pretty fast, but after this fiasco, i won't be dealing with them again for anything other than standard letters.. |

| i hardly ever order stuff from the states anyway, so don't usually have to worry about that kind of stuff. this gear was ordered from within canada, so ups or some other form of delivery would have been much faster and less frusterating. |

KduB11, What makes you think the delivery services here in the USA are any better?
There are several people on this site that have had problems with USPS, UPS, Fedex, DHL.... at one time or another. _________________
8824, dude - I suck. You were right.
. |
