i'm 5' 7" 185.
current board 2006 hyperlite 140 cruiser (family board/beginner)
thinking about buying 2005 duoble up mike schweene pro board 136.
Will i be able to handle this board and will it make a noticable diff in amount of air.
Have gone out about six times w/3 sessions each time.
i have put countless hours behind our boat and I still suck. It's not how many hours you put behind a boat, it's how well you can handle a board. pro model boards aren't NOT for beginners, they just make learning a tad harder.
That pro model is actually very comfortable to ride. It is NOT a beginner board by any means, but it is still a blast to ride..
When I rode his, he had the Shwenne Pro Model (DoubleUp) hooked up with the Liquid Force Team Bindings. That had to be one of the most awsome setups I have ever riden..
For someone about your size, I'de go with a 137 or 138.. I have demo'ed tons of boards, and I am about your height/weight (5'9 175) and I find that one or two cm make the biggest changes... Give it a try one day. _________________
