i need help with getting up and what not... im riding on a 02 obrien wakeboard with stock "bindings" and im having trouble getting up...im riding on the back of an 18 ft bass boat and it has a 90 hp engine...the bindings arent really bindings they are a couple of straps to hold your feet in stock with the board in 02. My dad, who drives the boat is used to towing skiers and were not real sure at what speed to tow/start at...so recomendations are needed...Im not sure what im doing wrong i think it may be that im not leaning back because the board keeps goin under the water and after that happens i cant get back to the surface...i could you as much help as you can give..and i have looked at the cwb videos..

also if anyone can relate wakeboarding to snowboarding that would be great..im a snowboarder and im pretty good...so if you can relate getting up wakeboarding to snowboarding and when i get up is turning like turning in snowboarding???

Yo man. You might want him to pull you 18-20 mph. I snowboard alot too, and Im pretty decent. So to get up, when you snowboard and you are binding up thats kinda like you postition when getting up wakeboading. Make sure your toes are pointing to the sky that will help you from not getting pulled under.
Good luck bro

Whenever I'm getting up the Driver just puts it all the way down till the boat planes out.

When I get pulled the driver normally puts in in gear just so its dragging me very very slowly to keep the rope tight and what not, I sit back as far as i can and put my arms between my legs and keep my toes pointed up, Its easiest for me to get up with the boat taking off rather slowly and gradually getting to around 20 mph as opposed to a skiier where you gun it off the start.
