| i am wanting to try a slim chance sometime this week or next week and just need a little bit of a step by step explanation to help me with it or just any tips. i can do a HS mobe, so the handlepass isn't a problem for me and i am extremely comfortable with mobes and handlepass inverts. i just want some basic tips. thanks in advance. |

| ohio_wake_2008, I don't do slim chances but one of the kids i ride with does, and the main thing with a slim chance is pulling off the wake. A slim chance and oddly enough a pete rose are pretty much the same trick comparing ts to hs (i realize that everyone who reads this who is no where close to trying this will think im crazy) and i can definately tell you how to do a pete but for a slim chance, it is all about pulling the rope down and hard RIGHT OFF THE WAKE because the front turns it into a really slow spin, you must exagerate how hard you pull because it will get stuck and the board will STOP at around oh lets just say 270, HAHAHA, and i have seen the repercussions of this. You got some testicles dude, this and the ts r2b are two of the hardest falls and this one takes the cake. GOOD LUCK MAN, I am too afraid to ever try them (its funny because beginners think raley falls are bad yet they have never tried a mobe) but i think you can do it |

kyle, i won't ride for a few days though. i want to take maybe a 3-4 day break since i rode al last week and got worse as the week went on . it's going to be interesting with the falls if they are as bad as you say.
oh and with that pete rose...i didn't bother to try and go for the grab |

| ohio_wake_2008, its not that they are really bad, its that you go big do them and it just hurts (ankles) and if you catch an edge. You did a pete? NICE!!! The slim chance should be easy for you then |

kyle, lately i've found out that mobes are easy for me with the crow mobe, hs mobe, and now the pete, they aren't that hard to do.
i worked on a whirly for a set, but i could never get the damn rotation around. i would've landed it probably if i got the last 180 in |

kyle, I'd get on the tramp for sure and learn em. I can't do them on water but I never would've tried before trying it on the tramp. First few times were weird on the tramp, but now it's just natural and I can spin em all day even to 7.
The few times I've tried on the water though, I've spun to blind like you mentioned, basically I think it's because I didn't have enough slack in the rope and it just slowed the rotation right down at the end. |

| ontrider, you don't need slack in the rope for a whirly, you want tension on it when you leave the wake, if there's too much slack then you won't get all the way around either |

Craig-R, ...and then it will get wrapped around your head and you will die you don't really want SLACK, you just want a little tension so it's easier on yourself to pull the rope across your chest and make it look nice and clean. if i do a trick, i make sure that it will look clean, not just huckin it.
tristanmx7, a slim chance is a heelside frontflip with a frontside 360. it's easy for me to think of while doing it, so try to picture that. i have slight difficulties picturing it from a passengers view in the boat, but i think it'd be sweet.
if i find a video, i'll post it. |

| Craig-R, I always thought it was easier to take it straighter up so the rope isn't super tight. I don't mean a ton of slack, but I thought it was easier to spin with the loose rope and a really tight line would stall the rotation. |
