Me and a Friend just recently purchased a Hyperlite 140 motive w/ vario bindings. After 2 weekends of use, the bindings ripped. We got the hang of riding and are not sure what new size board we should go with. We have no problems getting up and are trying to do 180's. Anyone have any recommendations of package deals at different websites and types of board's we should get. We both weight over 185 lbs.

Ride a couple of boards of buddies of yours and buy what ever one you like best.
And with your weight over 185 I woulod make sure the board you get is a minimum 140.

Not true bro.. i am 240 and i ride a 137 and have no problems at all with anything.. i mean demo some boards man see what you like. Liquid force makes a really great product (although i ride a hyperlite).. check liquid force out man..

on buywake.com there is a package deal with the '06 Tranist bindings and '06 substance board. It is a good deal too! I dont really know what price range you are looking at but look around and see what is up.. if all else fails.. buy a set up from one of your friends.. like their board from the year before!

The motive is an awesome shape and I'd save your money for some great bindings you both like.

Really, unless you have cash to burn you will not be held back by the motive. I was using it at the beginning of summer and the only reason I changed my ride was because I've been working at going huge and into the flats and the Motive doesn't provide the softest landings. If you're just learning then the Motive will be a great shape for you for quite some time.
