Hey everyone. Yesterday I went out, took off my fins for the first time, and tried to get a nice, hard egde, but couldnt really put pressure on my back-foot. I think its my bindings. I was hoping someone could tell me if i set up my bindings right. Thanks alot. _________________ Blood is thicker than water. Family comes first! |

| are they both on angles because i set mine at duck stance(both at the same angle) and that works great and if you cant get the feel for no fins and hate it just put them back on |

| I don't knwo if you ride regualr or goofy, but for my, I didn't like the duck stance and it felt awkward so i set mine up both angled to the right a little (I ride goofy) so that they both point towards the front a little bit. |

Your bindings don't look bad. That is not the problem with your edge. Angling both bindings to the right is ok when you're just starting out. But if you're working on getting air you need to get them symetrical. If you don't you will be cripled when trying to progress later on.
In my opinion, your problem is that you took the fins off your board. I can't see the bottom side of that board but I doubt it was meant to be ridden finless. Put the fins back on and study how to do a correct edge here:

| Wakebrad is right. It will feel like stuff without fins. Just ride with them on until you get the basics, then decide if you want them off. |

No offence, but looking at the board; any board is better for learning on than no board at all, however, you will outgrow(outskill) that one very quickly which will hinder progression. For your binding questions, What I would suggest is at least putting your rear foot at a complete neutral angle of 0, but not forward as the front one if you can avoid it.
Also, if duck stance is feeling too awkward, I'd say it's possible you stance is set too far apart - try moving the bindings in one notch and see if that helps with your riding better. While typically a wider stance(bindings screwed in further apart from each other) works well for balance, too far apart in comparison to your body size can cause aches, pains and awkawardness as well. |
