How much water is "normal" to be in the bilge after a day of skiing. We just got a 97 Mastercraft Maristar 225. I ran the pump for well over a min after about 5 hrs on the water. Probably 10+ gallons. Seems a bit much.
Thanks. Jon |

Well as long as the water level isn't going over your float switch you should be fine. If it goes over your float switch and it doesn't automatically turn on I would check the wiring. There is normally about 2 inches of water in the bottom of my boat. So about 10 gallons sounds about right. _________________ Riders Inc. |

| extra ballast, make sure your auto-switch works. the drive shaft packing may need to be adjusted, but that's really not too much. |

| If you where riding all day, the stop and go thing usally pulls water inside over the back. Thats what we have found, even more when fully weighted |

most 94-97 maristars leak around the rubrail...as it touches the water at the swimplatform.
if you want to keep it dry best thing to do is repair it,but that,s a hell of a winter-project.i,ve done that.i completely removed the engine and repair from the inside.
i have 700lbs ballast in the rear so my swimplatform is always under water, and we leave the boat in the water all season.so it was leaking all the time for 3 seasons
i have a second bilge and auto-swich installed at the back of the rudderhousing.
NOT A NICE JOB TO DO!!!..but at the highest bowrise all water flows to that point.
hit the bilge swich and you got 95% of the water out.
it,s no big deal as long as the battery,s are full,...mine got worse and worse so i had to repair it.
