Firstly you want resist riding with your shoulders rolled forwards. Stand tall in other words. i dont want to be too critical but how you go into a trick is pretty much how you come out of it.
Push up with your HIPS and chest at the wake. As you leave the water look straight up. As you start to get fully inverted keep looking back for the water with youy eyes OPEN. At the moment you are looking up then off to the side which is changing your rotation. Good luck it will only take a couple of goes. |

| Edge a little harder, you flatten out early. Square up when you hit the wake. And you need to let go with your back hand. |

| i tweaked my tantrum a little this weekend. instead of going more for a trip-flip approach (hard initial cut to build speed, then flattening off at the crest to get tripped) i turned it more towards a load and release invert. i'd take a very progressive edge, ride tall up the wake, squaring my shoulders, pop straight up (almost like a wake jump), then suck my knees to my chest and just look up(don't throw your head). this takes you up more, slows your rotation (and allows you to grab(look at board if grabbing)), plus it looks sechsier too. i'd had a lot of trouble doing it trip flip style, and had always had trouble just going straight up, and knowing my knees would give me enough kick to get around. just play with it though, see what you think. |
