Just wanted to see everyones take on boardshorts. I don't ride without them on. I have seen in most of the pics up we all wear then but not all. I thought it would be interesting to see everyones take on them.

Do you prefer, Short or Long?

I personally prefer long ones my fav pair is my O'Neill camo shorts.

Long! even though I get funny tan lines... they look cooler IMO... and also because I don't like wearing short shorts... you have to sit like a lady all the time Smile I can be more careless in my long boardshorts

If I could find the right length of long ones I would wear them. I have short legs so the guys long shorts usually fall about mid knee which restricts my movements. I found some Eddie Bauer shorts that I really like. They arent too short and come down about mid thigh which is about the length I like.

I wear them all - short, long & tights?. Depending on the sun & fashion sense of that day.

Inherited 2 long shorts. One belongs to my husband but its too small for him. One belongs to my son but its too big for him.

Recently bought these long black tights for the waters. Have not worn them yet. Not cool looking, who cares, not young any more, need max sun protection.

Long with really good velcro (not the kind that is weak or bunches up) and w/drainage holes in the pockets.

Most of the time I'll just wear guys' shorts cause I love long boardshorts but I have huge thighs being a skier and the girls shorts are tight, not cute on me and uncomfortable. Most of the time a guys' size 30 will work on me. A little big, but I like the way they fit over my bikini.

NightAngel, I have short legs also, but I do like long boardshorts. But once my boyfriend gave me a Puma short that came down mid thigh like the one you liked, maybe you could search for those too. It's really comfortable but I prefer the long ones.

NightAngel - my friend is also short and she gets her board shorts from Title 9 sports. It a bit expensive IMO but she loves them.

I just like getting the catalogue in the mail. They use real athletes as they models instead of twigs. This spring was the Las Olas surf instructors

Here is a link to their website and where the board shorts are:

http://www.titlenine.com/jump.jsp?itemType=CATEGORY&itemID=602

The largest size they have is an XL which says 16 but no sizing in inches so that might not work bit maybe worth a call to them.

The XL might fit though it says its 39 and 1/4 " so it should fit. I think they look great and my friend was a pro snowboarder who loves them so she has the skier/snowboarder thighs.

I wear both short and long boardshorts. Most of my long boardshorts are mens, I like they way they fit a lot better than the girl's long ones. Much more baggy and comfy. I've been into the short boardshorts this season though, I got a pair of Fox Racing ones that I love!

Right now I wear a pair of shorter ones, but only because I needed a pair fast and didn't have time to look for longer ones. But I definitely like the longer ones better, but with hips and bigger thighs (I play a TON of soccer) it's hard to find a pair that fits comfortably.

I have a huge problem with women's active wear.

I love the 'life is good" stuff, title nine, oneil, all of the columbia and northface stuff, but NONE of it is for someone larger than a 14.

I do not want to be out there in a skimpy outfit, just good quality active outdoor wear. I can wear most of their tops, in the XL but none of their bottoms fit me. (hello pears) I am active, tall, and a bit heavy now with three kids. WHY THE F>>> can't someone make active wear in a larger size that is not frumpy? Just the normal line in something larger than a 14?????

I just started wakeboarding and have been wearing just my bikini bottoms but I am tired of them falling to my knees everytime I wipeout. I want to get some boardshorts and it's looking like the consensus is longer is more comfortable.

I wear short board short, but I might convert to long board shorts because my legs are starting to get big again.
