Been wakeboarding about a week, question about my bindings

Well, I'm able to get up with ease, able to cut back and forth across the wake, pulled off a switchstance and boardslided the wake a few times. Things are progessing nicely Smile

. However, I need some advice on bindings. I have Orbit bindings which came with my hyperlite board package. They are the lace up kind, but I can't seem to get them tight enough. My feet slip around inside them and it makes controlling the board somewhat difficult. They are also relatively easy to get in and out of. I don't need soap or anything. I've been reading that you want your feet nice and snug. How tight should your bindings feel? Do I need to upgrade? What are some good bindings? How long should it normally take to get in and out of them? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

tight enough that they aren't killin your feet... but it sounds like they are definitely too big for you if your feet move around in them...

My bindings are pretty tight but I still use socks sometimes. Tryed that?

Yeah, my bindings definitly need to be tighter. Yesterday I went to a skate shop and tried on the Liquid Force Transit bindings, and man what a difference, it was like night and day. Does anyone know if these bindings are any good?

I just got some the other day and my buddies who wakeboard alot said they were pretty good, going to the lake this week to try them out.

The Transits are a very high end binding. For your skill level, you could probably save some money and go with maybe Liquid force Alphas. Your feet, by the way, should not be able to move around in you binding, if you have the right fit, your heel should stay planted down. The right fit should allow your feet to be comfortable, withouth any pressure points, and you should be able to keep the bindings on for about 20 to 30 minutes before your feet go numb

check out ebay for bindings. I just got a new pair of 05 hyperlite 3DS bindings for $140!! I really like them. They are super comfortable, easy to get on/off, and hold your feet down really well.

The transits are very good, and go with them if you like them.
They might be a high end binding but they provide excellent support and a high end binding will not impede a learners progress like some pro high end board would. So there is no reason not to go with them imho.

It really does sound like you're bindings are too large. But before you buy online (if you choose that option) make sure the size is right. I've got a pair of CWB Zeus online that are just abit too small, though the CWB site says they should be perfect for my foot size.
