I do surface 180s without any problems and I have molded in fins and 1.5" center fins. Its all about breaking that edge and transferring your weight. I usually just do a quick turn into it and when your riding switch only hold the handle with one hand it will help keep you from catching the front edge when you ride switch, that is how I kept from falling forward. For me I kept falling backwards when I would do powerslides until I realized that the boat will keep you balanced, I would constently pull the rope into my chest to stay up and end up falling on my butt. Hope that helps and good luck.

The way I learned it is when the boat first pulls you up when you are still going slow turn the board into a sideways slide and then just go the rest of the way around and hold the handle with only one hand and that will keep your body in the proper position. I learned most of my switch riding and surface 180s with the boat only going about 10-12mph that way the falls hurt less and it takes less effort to turn the board. I highly recommend buying "The Book" dvd set it has helped me a lot. You can find it on ebay for around $70 or get the free sample dvd here www.thebookdvd.com/freedvd
Either way it will help you out.
And no its not hard turning back around you just have to do it, without thinking about it.

No problem, I saw the link in the latest wakeboarding mag. I have the full dvds and they are well worth it.
