|
|
hey guys..newbie here. I've been riding since last year, but inconsistently.. I had a cheapy Hyperlite Movement that tought me basics. I went out and got 3 boards to demo..ERA, Premier and the Parks.
I ended up loving the 2005 bio Parks for its loose feel, but whenI found this forum so many were bashing it..did I do a bad thing?
I'm not good enough to notice the nuances of each boards, but the feel seems really good and fun for me.. I trying back rolls now, havn't stuck one yet, but I heard that with this board I may never stick one.. |

people bash parks cuz most go out and buy his stuff cuz "hes the best" but its a bunch of B.S. dont worry about it, i learned all my stuff on a parks when i started... its possible, the board has a tendency to be inconsistent but i could control it pretty well, just ride it like its the best board for you. _________________ Broke, Unsponsored, Carless, Broken donor cycle, 18 credit hours... and i drive to class wheeliein my sisters 49cc scooter... yea im bawlin |

novarider, Don't worry about what people here think. You did the right thing, you demoed some boards, and you found which one is right for you, which just happened to be a parks. Don't even think it is a wakeboard holding you back from landing/learning a trick. _________________ http://www.flickr.com/photos/damoncall/

| You guys didn't find that it was out of control or squirly? When I rode the premier, I couldn't find the groove at all, but when I jumped on the Parks it was fun city..then this forum made me feel a little bummed |

nah man, parks was a fun board, i got the o3 and o4 and loved em both, but my riding style is alot different now so it was time for a board change cuz the parks didnt suite me well, if u like it, thats all that matters _________________ Broke, Unsponsored, Carless, Broken donor cycle, 18 credit hours... and i drive to class wheeliein my sisters 49cc scooter... yea im bawlin |

| novarider, yeah as long as you demo-ed them and liked the parks the best, that's all that matters. the parks board catches a lot of crap on the forums because like alafiaboarder said, people buy it just because parks rides it and he's arguably the best wakeboarder. also, a lot of people don't like the parks board because it just doesnt suit their riding style |

novarider, the Parks board is very aggressive and only suits a very small minority of riders out there.
So much so that it is usually a love or hate board. Not much middle ground.
I would not recommend the Parks series to anyone who was not at some form of intermediate riding level as it usually is more of a detriment than anything else.
It may suit your style of riding, but chances are not in your favor. I'd give some other boards a go and see what you prefer. _________________

Well the shop has a trade up policy, I'll give the board this summer to see how it feels. Thanks for the warnings and encouragement..now I know what I'm dealing with..although it is a fun board..so far
cheers, |

When you rode the Premier, was the center fin in or out? Without the center fin, the board can get away from you if you're not familiar with how the board reacts/responds. |

so take it from there,
that being said i just bought a shane board _________________ ass, cash or grass, no one rides for free! |

| It seems to me parks rode better and went bigger when he was riding that old FM board. Just my opinion from videos and all....of course he did weigh a good bit less. |

| Hayes, he also major knee problems now, probably caused by him going massive, which is why he probably doesn't go as big anymore...for his knees' sake |
