|
|
Hey everyone, i've noticed a few people around here from Sarasota, and in another thread someone from Port Charlotte.
I actually have a family house down in Port Charlotte, i havent been there in a couple of years but plan to go down within the next month or so to check on our pool.
Ive never noticed any lakes around before, maybe im tottaly blind, but is there alot of freshwater places to wakeboard in or around Port Charlotte or Sarasota? Anyone want to hook me up with a ride?
thanks

| if you're only willing to go in freshwater in and around sarasota and port charlotte, you're in for a rude painful surprise. i ride at skiers island in sarasota which is salt water and at an unknown location that i wouldnt even know how to explain to you where it is in north port/PC which is about 85% freshwater...which also means snakes and alligators. it's not my boat that we use in north port so i couldnt tell you if i could give u a ride but kmagnuss might open his little heart up to you, i'm really not sure haha. are you willing to throw down for gas? |

There are some brackish waters you can ride in near there. I won't tell you where they are, because they are all my secret locations from hours of satellite map searching! Ha ha...but if you're not a total douchebag you can come ride with us sometime. PM me when you're in town. I have to warn you though...if you do turn out to be a tool (don't say thanks, don't offer gas, try to get in the boat with your shoes on, or have terrible B.O.), it'll be a long swim back through the gator infested waters. Sure you want to come still. I'm just joking man. No seriously...don't be a douche.

i would be more than glad to throw down gas money, beer or whatever is neeeded.
however, you thinking someone you've never met, nor know is a douchebag would make you the douche dude.
i dont know a human being that wouldnt offer a person thanks after someone taking them for a pull, and the no shoes in the boat is common sense in my neck of the woods, i guess it isnt down there.
but yah id be more than willing to throw down gas money, again just common sense.
ill PM you when im down next. _________________ "One day Parks will teach me how to be a Professional Chase Boat Driver." |

Ha ha...that's good. You passed the test! Seriously, I've taken people before that didn't know about the shoes or gas, which is really no big deal if you don't know any better, but it's the people who don't even say thanks that really gets me going. I used to ride with this kid who is a really good rider, but just so full of himself that he wouldn't even say thanks when you complimented him on his set. He'd just say "I know". Well, he doesn't ride with us any more, that plus he never even offered gas once.
I just re-read what I wrote last night, and even though it's a litte funny (if you know me) I can see how I would come off as a prick for saying that stuff...like I am the coolest or better than most. Well I apologize for that, I'm not like that. And the guys I ride with now are cool guys too. So yeah man...I'll stop rambling now, and definitely hit me up when you're coming to town. I won't make you swim back if you suck.

I'm around Ft.Myers every day now. I work in the Cape...so whenever you want to hit the river let me know.
Oh...the XJ is long gone...since then I've had a Silverado, WJ, and a P38 Range Rover. It's sad I know. _________________ http://kmags.mybrute.com/

oh ya? thats cool, ya im on FJOA, who knows, im prob banned as we talk but i never know when something i say is too provocotive for "jeep sites" im droppin the heep off to get the tranny rebuilt next week and then im redoing the rear bumper (TJ forum under new bumper and then fuel cell, gettin that bumper built, its on a green jeep which is my friends) tryin to sell the front bumper i got and doing a full weld on competition stinger setup, gonna finish the flat fender and then who knows what task will be next...bed mounted tire carrier and fuel cell...
but i thought of my favorite trick i've ever seen (back on topic).... Its keith Lymans Moby Dick over shaun Murray when they were riding the X-80 i think it was, it was on an episode of pull which im desperately trying to see... but i saw it in the wakeboard mag with the Shawn O'Brien interview... He floats FOREVER _________________ Broke, Unsponsored, Carless, Broken donor cycle, 18 credit hours... and i drive to class wheeliein my sisters 49cc scooter... yea im bawlin |

chris said somewhere around 150 i think just cuz Derek (guy who does it) helped him do alot of other stuff but that includes buying the metal, D-rings, shackle thingy's, and labor of fixin his effed up frame... i'll ask derek, i like it cuz its mad heavy duty, and alot smaller and doesnt waste as much space
just realized i posted that thing up a minute ago thinkin i was in the favorite trick forum... im an idiot, trampoline is making me delusional _________________ Broke, Unsponsored, Carless, Broken donor cycle, 18 credit hours... and i drive to class wheeliein my sisters 49cc scooter... yea im bawlin |
