Hey...just started wakeboarding yesterday, got up after the frist couple tries, but i find i am having problems when im up...im not sure if im maybe not riding the right way...i am left handed and when i skateboarded i would ride with my right foot back, now when i tried wakeboarding i am riding the same way...now dont get me wrong i can get up and ride, but i am having trouble keeping away from the wake and was thinking if i ride with my left foot back instead of my right one i might have more control..Also i dont know really how to steer and keep inside the wake...any help would be great, im new to this so i may not be total sure what is wrong

a big problem is leaning to far forward. since the boat is pulling u really cant lean to far back (at least i never had). its important to keep the front end up. to turn just lean to the side u want to go. that s really all i got . i hope it helps

its just like skateboarding or snowboarding but if you are having trouble going regular(left foot forward) try going goofy(opposite of regular) and see if it works out and if you feel you dont have control find some fins or if you have some put bigger ones on

Also, try keeping the handle low and in front of your leading hip. If you've got your arms out straight you'll have much less control.

(Wow, check me out. Barely been wakeboarding over a month and I'm already giving advice. LMAO! Laughing )

dude, have someone push you from behind. whatever foot u brace yourself with should be toward the back.

it was you're first day anyway, dude. JUST PICK ONE. it doesn't matter at this stage. you will get used to it reguardless.
