|
|
Recently a few friends and I have been taking PWC's out to a lake. We started wakeboarding behind it, but we have been using a piece of crap walmart board. So we're ready to buy a new board (not planning on spending too much untill we get a boat). Right now we're looking at spending around 250, maybe a little more, a little less, etc. Anyways, we think we have decided on one of two boards. Just a little FYI, the PWC we are riding behind is a seadoo 3 person GTX. The wake isn't near that of a boat, but is a bit larger then a regular PWC... Not much more, but it is there. We've also cut the rope to a better distance where we're hitting it is at the peak. Anyways, right now we are looking at the HO! 2005 Dischord 139($207) or the CWB 2006 Nexus 139($240ish). The HO says it is designed for people with smaller wakes to get more air, but im wondering if that is a marketing gimmick.
The weights of the 3 people going are est 155, 165 and 180.
Anyways, like always info and comments are highly appreciated. As a note, i do not want to buy a wakeskate. Thanks!
Also: Can anyone tell me why HO stopped making wakeboards? _________________ d |

Don't know much about HO, but I rode behind a Waverunner most of last season and demo'd a bunch of different boards, the one I liked best behind the Waverunner was the LF Fish.
My first board was a CWB, I liked it, now I have a D-up Delta and a HL Parks. I like both, but I've been riding behind a boat now, so it's a new ballgame. |

i have a seadoo gtx wake... learned to wakeboard behind it but have more fun boarding behind my friend's boat... it helped with the fundamentals though...
i just started wakeskating since i have no plans to get a boat as of yet... but my wife boards behind the seadoo and has expressed interest in th LF Fish...
sorry to ramble........... _________________ If anyone needs me... I'll be on the lake..... |

I highly recommend CWB boards, but I haven't owned anything else. If you are deciding between the 2 you mentioned, I'd definitely rather buy from a company that is still making boards. _________________ 1998 Moomba Kanga w/ 6' Skylon pylon

It's fun. It's loose enough to do surface tricks and even gets a little pop off the wake behind the wave runner. It's my favorite behind the waverunner. |
