Old Hickory? Im just guessing by the houses on the water. I live on across the street from the lake, we keep our boat at Drakes Creek marina.

Where exactly do you ride at? I havent seen too many boarders around, I didnt know if there was a part of the lake that is "dedicated" to boarding and skiing.

I bought a boat (I/O) this spring...dont have a board yet Sad but do have a set of ski's. Old Hickory is also very crowded, not to mention its shallow so you have to be careful. We took the boat to Center Hill a couple weekends ago, and it was great. HUGE lake, over 100' deep pretty much all over. We had tons of room and never worried about depth or running into other people. I know that doesnt answer your question, but thats because I havent found anywhere on Old Hickory that I really like - at least, during the weekends.

Road Head, yeah half Old Hick, half Percy Priest. We ride both, mainly Priest for boarding though. We just caught some runs on Hick before the partying on the 4th weekend.

wakeNskate, ha ha ha smartass. Well you know I meant to call ya, but with all the press endorsements and magazines wanting my pics, I just forgot. Razz Wink Laughing

triggrman, on Priest there are two locations I ride that are near the dam. One is back in a cove behind Nashville shores. Go WAAAAY around to the left and you will come to a cove with an island in the middle. Wakeboarders do laps around and around. The other is skier's cove near the Big bridge. If coming from the nashville side, it's just to the right. Watch out for the shallow spots coming into the cove, but once in there it's plenty deep. You can usually find some boarders back there.
And if you really wanna good ride, go hit up Jefferson Springs in LaVergne. Butter all the time. Twisted Evil

Those are awesome pics, I like the boat... my neighbor at my lake house has that exact same boat but without the tower... I've always liked the way they curve down in the front. Good work!

LoudonTN, speaking of which. When we gonna get a big group for some camping and early riding together? I think it would be fun to ride and hang with you east TN folk.

haugy,

Jefferson Springs is pretty shallow though isn't it, is that were the ski ramp is, I was out there this weekend but it was too shallow for my father-in-law's taste and since it's my father-in-law's boat, my taste as well.

I go out to Hobson Pike cove, but there's always 5-8 wakeboard boats out there. I've never been to the cove by Nashville shores though, I'll check it out.

triggrman, it can be. But as long as you stay in the channel you would be fine. I parked next to the channel about 10 ft past the markers, and could walk behind my boat. Shocked

I am gonna put a map up if I can get it to work on where we ride.

This is the spot I am talking about. About a 5 minute boat ride from Nashville shores. And if you can follow the map. There is a ramp, right where it says, "Good riding spot".
