| i was reading the little warning label on my bindings that said the binings should have a snug fit not a tight fit so you can come out when you fall. I tighten my watsons all the way down where if i fall i dont think i am going to come out. Is this a bad thing? Should i leave the binings a little loose or should i tighten the hell out of them like i do now? Thanks |

Do what feels right. Obviously don't tighten them to a point where it feels like you're going to rip your feet off when you fall, but you want them fairly snug. I'm sure you can find a happy medium on your own...

When I first got the new Watsons I would tightend them up as much as I could. The lace system really lets you crank them down. They felt very comfortable, but my feet would eventually go numb and I wouldn't eject easily.
Now I just cinch the laces like I would a pair of basketball shoes and they are super comfortable and I eject easily on bad faceplants. The heel kidneys give good hold with moderate lace tension, so edging is not a problem. |

Eh, if you fall "too hard," they'll just rip in half and let you out anyway, right? |

no matter how tight u make them a bad enough fall your feet will come out...
so if you ride them loose, and u fall and ur board keeps comming off, your just getting annoyed with having to put them back on.
but on the other hand, too tight and only the hardest of falls it will come off..
so find ur happy medium i guess _________________ ass, cash or grass, no one rides for free! |

Read the 100th issue of wakeboarding magazine. It is from may of 2006. It has a section in there called "Higher learning: binding benefits". I think that should tell you everything you need to know about bindings and how tight they should be! _________________ "The true measure of a man is how he treats someone who can do him absolutely no good."

| do what feels good. I have the 06 hype 3ds and at first I would tighten the laces and the top straps, then I had a good fall and my foot halfway came out and got stuck ( that hurt bad ). Now I just ride with the laces tight and leave the top straps unhooked. |

| Just tight, but not tight so your cutting off circulation. |

| they should be tight enough that your feet WON'T come out. it's safer to take a hard faceplant and have both your feet in the bindings than to risk only having one come out while the board turns tears your knee to hell |
