ive gone through 3 sets of fins on this board this year alone. seems that when i land hard in the flats they just break off or come loose then break off. after hearing wanabess has the same problem i wonder if anyone else has it?
i upgraded my fins from their 1 screw 2 dowl pin design to a 2 screw design, had to drill the board out though.
anyone else have this problem with their boarD? |

You know what the problem is, its the fins, they're plastic. The threads get stripped out very easy, its easier to rip them off too. Im gonna try to find some fiberglass fins, or metal that will fit in there, should solve the problem _________________ http://www.myspace.com/wannabess

Dip_Krew,
If you get a chance check out our fins www.cdifins.com. You are not going to break them. Let me know if there is something you are interested in. We are currently out of a couple sizes. We have designed them for this exact problem you are having and have tested the crap out of them. Take it easy. _________________ Skiing made me board,

| you can't have fins on sliders especially not metal ones, you should look into getting a board with molded fins and take the removable fins out which would solve your problem |

Dip_Krew,
Yes they will hold up to a slider that is what we designed them for, and more specifically we designed them so they don't do damage to your board. The weak link in the system is the bolt. It tends to start stretching out with high impact loads, but the fin will not dent into the board because of the wide base. I rode the crap out of our slider this weekend and didn't have any problems with them. We also do not make them super sharp like the P-wing fins so they are less likely to do damage to sliders, and actually a lot less like to do damage then a lot fiberglass fins. The problem we have seen with molded in fins on boards is sliders can take chunks out of them or grind them down. It is kind of bummer to have to buy a new board verses replacing the fins. _________________ Skiing made me board,
