Alright... To learn how to DIY a nice W2W:

1. Cut out away from the wake
2. Edge in, leaning against the rope and digging your back heel in (Jumping Heelside)
3. Straighten up your legs just before hitting the crest
4. Use Search!

Sorry, don't want to sound like an A$$hole so just do steps 1-3. Work on getting a nice progressive edge down to use to cut into the wake.

You can learn much more than W@W without a pylon or tower. It's all about technique. Search for instructions from a poster named Rocket for some great tips. No offense QNev. Very Happy

that's your problem... you need to not edge in so hard... edge progressively starting by just slowly drifting in with your knees bent nd then edge harder and harder so that your hardest edge is right before you hit the wake. then when you hit the crest of the wake stand up straight and you should have enough pop to send you over to the other side of the wake. maybe the trick tips section would be a better section to post this in... you'd get more tips...

ashley.

p.s. i sent you a pm.

i think you'd do better in the tricktips forum than here
but i gues you can consider that DIY? its cool though
what line length are you riding at
cuz iv seen some kids getting super frustrated on w2w and the only problem is that they are going too slow for the length of line making the wake impossibly wide for the speed they are going
i dont want to give you a set distance for line length... because it really depends on your boat. so maybe try riding a shorter line length. and listen to everything everybody else said about technique and such.
