ive just started jumping too and im getting some pretty good air now coz if this good advice.
edge out hard, then drift in for a couple of seconds then edge really really hard. as u hit the wake stand up tall sticking ur chest up and out and hold the line tight in to your hip. then just bend ur knees as u hit the water to absord the landing. keep looking up coz if u look down ull go down.
good luck

Thanks Coop. I'll try the looking up thing. I've knew about the standing tall thing and constantly have to remind myself so I don't bend over and mess up. In snowboarding we were always taught to look for your landing. This has followed me into wakeboarding and I think it might be part of why I'm crashing on my landings? Who knows...needless to say...I'll be trying your heads up thing the next time I'm out. |

I would just say, don't try to edge in too hard. It was recently brought to my attention that the reason I wasn't getting as much pop as I would like was that I was coming in too fast and the speed was eliminating some of my pop. The last couple of times I've gone out I've tried to come in easier and I have had to let out the rope another 5' as a result!! But, yeah, definitely softer landings help to not crash on landing when you do start getting some air _________________ Find your wings...
