just wondering -- has anyone seen a heel 9 in person? I know plenty of pro's throw down toe 9's...but who all is throwin hs 9's?

mike marsh and tino santori are hitting them w2w. ive seen plenty in person off the double up. Froggy and Harf have them dialed and parks has been doing them forever

LFADAM, there is an old school video where parks lands a TEMPER TANTRUM off the double up...no not shafted if everyone is thinking that, actually off the double up, cant remember the name of the video

off topic, but isn't the big thing about the Xgames/Gravity games this year that all the riders are talking about throwing a 1080? I could have sworn that I watced some ESPN thing about it. It was about how Parks landed the only one on tape back in 1996 and noone has landed one since. is this correct?

I've never seen parks even do a HS 7 with out a double up. I think parks is getting worse and worse. Hes just wasted talent now. He's been doing the same tour run for like 3 years. I wish he would stop being so lazy and really start progressing again. He could be better than Harf is off the wake.

LFADAM, I really wish i can remember the name of it, it has to be atleast 8 years old though, ill try and think which one it is.
NorthwestRider, you are an idiot. watch any video with parks in it and compare the amplitude of his tricks to any other rider. he can do ANY trick, switch or regular, and if you asked harf who is better off the wake, him or parks, i guarantee harf wouldn't even hesitate to say parks. For the amount of times the guy has blown out his knees, the last one resulting in a staff infection, he is crazy. His abilities on rails is still far better than any rider and i honestly think that when parks fully recovers from his staff infection, you will start seeing amazing things out of him again. I hate when people bad mouth parks abilities because it really shows how little about wakeboarding they know, which in this case is YOU. PARKS GOT BARRELED AT BIG TEAHUPOO!!!!!!!!!!!!! which was in august before the surf expo. That alone is something that no other person on a wakeboard would even consider doing or be able to do and he did an ally oop off the lip. I talked to him at the surf expo about it and his knee was still blown out when he did it.

kyle, take it easy jeez...NorthwestRider obviously knows a lot about wakeboarding if you've seen any of his videos and i agree with him in that parks, in contests at least, hasnt been riding at his full potential. i agree with you kyle about his amazing video sections though Shocked

kyle, I am just saying I haven't seen parks through anything new in like 3 years. I watch Counterfeit This the other day and his spins were sooo ugly. I was thinking what happened to the parks of 3 years ago when he would freaking throw down. But I guess I didn't think about the whole knee thing. There are some times when you watch parks and you can see he has the most board control in the world. Then you watch him do a 9 off the D-up and it just looks soo skecty. All I am saying is Parks could be way better then he is.

PS. Parks better then Harf off that wake? I don't see parks doing blind petes, TS 9s, and switch HS 9s off the wake.

NorthwestRider, well I dont see Harf doing Double Backrolls, Double Half Cab Rolls, Double Half Cab Mobes, Temper Tantrums, HS BS GRABBED O/A 540s and 720s, Whirly 5s and Whirly 7s, switch TS 9s, or just getting the freaking height off the double up that Parks can (could). In Shafted he probably does more than one 15 foot high 360 and I think 5+ TS 900s off the double up. Im pretty confident he coulda done one off the wake. On 1 of them, he does a Double Half Cab Roll off the double up, then there are some SMALL chase boat rollers that he does a 7 or so foot cut into and does a TS 9!

(theyre both sick wake riders...Gerry Nunn and Darin Shapiro as well, I just saw Gerry Nunn throw an off the wake HS BS 720 into the flats on "Pull")

LFADAM, the first 6 tricks you listed parks does off the double up. Of all those tricks the only one I've seen parks do in the last 3 years is a whirly 5. Harf does nuclear whirly 5s. The fact that you are refering to Shafted is proving my point that he hasn't done these tricks in a couple years.

NorthwestRider, true...I didnt say hes the best wake rider now, but of all time hes the best. And who cares if its off the 2up? Harf might catch him though, hes got some more time of progression. I didnt know that Harf did Whirly 5s. my bad. BTW Am I the only one that thinks that grabbed Whirly anythings look TERRIBLE? I hate grabbed Whirly tricks. They look 10X better layed out.

NorthwestRider, LFADAM, both good points but i will have to side with
LFADAM, parks has knees like John Elway. you can hear the mechanics in them when he walks. sounds like a robot. parks and harf are both good but look as what parks has been facing recently. im sure he has had way more knee surgerys, plus the whole alcohol research program thing... Rolling Eyes

so is it just mike & tino then throwing heel 9's off the wake...isn't andrew adkinson doing it aswell? i kno that there are a few throwing it off the double up...but to see a heel 9 off the wake (in person)...its crazy

ts 9 isnt that impressive anymore, most riders in the top 20 on junior x this year can do them off the wake
