so i have the speakers, have the amp, but not a wiring kit, ive called around and was quoted from 150 to 450... its not a complicated install, i could do it myself but the parents want it done professionally... pretty much what is an average price to pay?

by you having the equipment most install shops will charge a little mroe as they aren't makign any $$$ of the sale. Look for the wiring to cost you about 40-50. Install shoudl take no more than a couple of hours. Some shops haev hourly rates other's have per item install charges, most will call "boat" work custom though. Around $175-$200 is fair. Find a friend that can do it for you....I'd do it for a few beers. ok maybe 10-12 beers but you get the point.

$450 is what I like to call "getting the churrizzo", unless that comes with a boat full of big breasted bikini cladden women then its' a rip off.

it will for sure be hourly rates. the only time its not hourly is when you actually buy the whole system as a package including installation. id say 200-300 including wiring. its a fairly easy job. a few drills and some wiring and your done

If your parents insist on it, then you should insist on them paying for it.

I installed my entire stereo for $115, which included speakers, amps, headunit, and sub. eBay and being able to DIY is your friend. It's not hard at all, save the money for something else and do it yourself for free (and learn something that you can charge your friends when you install their shiz for them).
