I just bought a new Hyperlite Scape and tested it out today. I dunno if I should keep this board however because its wood. Would it be best for me to try to send it back and get a catalyst and something else? I also dont know what size to get. I am 5' 9'' and around 170 and will probably never be advanced enough to do anything other than spinning on the water. I need to know whether to just stick with my board and hope it doesnt crack or send it back while i can! Question Question Question

jknudsen11,

I would send it back. The only reason is that the wood decks seem to crack. I wont mention the company, but i had two shipped to me, they both cracked, I only paid 60 bucks so it wasnt a big mistake.

But the composites will last forever.

Or just keep it and when it starts to blow out, then get a new one. You can never have too many skates imo!

jknudsen11, you do not want a catalyst if you are 5'9". those boards are huge. stay around 41"
