Well i have been wakeboarding for a couple of months. worked on surface tricks slides. etc.. good at edging and can get some air. i always feel like when im on the water that my back foot wants to come forward. so horizontal.) ( i ride right foot forward.) its good with surface tricks and such but when i jump i tend to pull it forward so that the board is horizontal so when i hit, i face plant straight in. any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Try holding the handle tighter to you lead hip, also try letting go with you back hand.

Filming yourself will help you loads also because you can watch yourself and idenitify where you need to improve easily.

good luck.

I have the same problem in snowboarding sometimes (I wakeboard and snowboard regular, but skateboard goofy), and it is just something that I guess you have to overcome. Just focus as much as you can on staying in place.

hold to the handle close to your front hip and just put more weight on your back foot. really push it down into the water.

I read the other responses and I came to this.. are your bindings evenly spaced? if you have (goofy) your right foot more forward on the board, this makes for less weight on the back foot, keeping it out of the water more, the fins dont hold as well.

Now correct me if i'm wrong but i think that he is trying to say that your board and bindings should be symetrical.....evenly spaced

(-------|||||------|||||-----) >>>no

Wait is there any chance you are jumping toeside? That would explain why you are turning because it's a natural movement.

Yeah that explains why you're turning you're trying to unrap yourself. You'll get it.
