OK... i just started wakeboarding and am able to get up and turn fairly well and was interested in trying some jumps... My question is whether or not i should actually try to jump when i hit the wake or let the wake and my speed do all the work... also any tips on how to land (like what direction my board should be etc.) would help... finally i was curious as to whether it is best to use one or two hands when boarding... thanks in adavnce

no jumping dude, let your speed do the work, just edge in hard, stand your legs up straight as you come up the wake, yank your legs up so it looks like you have more air than you actually do, let them down a bit when landing so they can act as shock absorbers with your knees bent

How is you ollie'ing? Can you ollie comfortably?

Try letting to rope out to it's longest lenght and try to jump just one wake (by letting the rope out you should land inside the wakes instead of on top of the second wake.)

Edge out toeside, then level off the let the boat drag you a few feet back toward the wake, then start to edge heel side. Gently at first edging harder and harder as you approach the wake.

When you reach the wake stand up, (don't jump) your momentum inot the wake and the upward motion of standing up will give you some good air. keep your knees soft to absorb the landing. and land with your board still on edge and continue to edge heel side away from your landing.

It might be worth investing a good instructional dvd like The Book: Build a Foundation

Yeah, it's pretty much the same, seriously invest in a good instructional DVD and it'll help you out lots.
