Just wanted to let ya all know we are starting to ship the new TopMount Trakker (pic below),so for those that pre-ordered you'll probably see yours this week. We did get slammed last week, so if you're ordering now or in next few weeks, it may be delayed 1-2 weeks til we catch up.
The TopMount uses the same Inertia Wheel Drive System as our new AirTrakker Pro (also below), that provides momentum to continue panning even when the line goes slack on a jump.
Also, we are looking for some good demo videos taken by users that demonstrate the improved tracking with the Inertia Wheel Drive used on AirTrakker Pro and TopMount models, and are giving away 20 LCD Mirrors, or $200 cash each for any videos we use on the site. Hmmm, I haven't heard anyone say that yet. I wonder if any others have that concern?
Below is a pic of the standard AirTrakker we have been selling . The new model mounts and holds the camera just the same, but doesn't have the "cage" around it.
Is anyone else uncomfortable with the "open" design of the new AirTrakker Pro??? _________________ www.wakevideo.com

Well, I'm not worried about the camera bouncing off. It's the same mounting system we've been selling for over 10 years.
Am just curious if people are worried there is nothing protecting the SIDES of the camera. It is a little more vulnerable to someone knocking it with a board or such. I don't worry about it myself, but I imagine some people might. _________________ www.wakevideo.com

Uh, Guys....The Camera isn't just siting there on the tracker, it is mounted with a screw (just like a tripod would hold the camera) _________________ When all is said and done...More will be said than done. |

| TrakkerGuy, what you need to do is find some way to dampen it or something when the rider falls or through doubleups....It blurs out evertime and there is never any good crash footage. |

Ctipping - I know it is frustrating when you don't catch a good wipeout. But you're talking about an older model AirTrakker, probably older than 2005 model. The rotary damper we started using in 2005 has a lot more tension and the problem you describe is much better.
The new models I show above both use our Inertia Wheel Drive System, and do not get "jerked around" at all when rider wipes out. The gears spin the weighted disc at 120x so has momentum to continue in one direction. It does not change direction instantly. _________________ www.wakevideo.com

TrakkerGuy, that is genius - well done...so simple but well thought out.
I think there is adaquate protection for a DV cam - the alli arm protects the camera from insects and the like and still allows easy access to buttons lcd etc.
I need something like this on my setup but have absolutly no cash - fuel here has gone up to $9 gallon. _________________ Wakeboarding is so Kool in Ireland! |
