If you had a semi-retired pro boarder coming to hang with you for a weekend with his family, and you lived in Sacramento area, where would you take him?

So far, the plan is to hit Dyke 8 at 7am. Get in some runs up the S fork and chill the rest of the day. It's been awhile since i've been on Folsom early, what's better? North fork or South? Dam? Down the middle? Very Happy I know what everything is like later on, what's best at 7am?

elmerfudd, it's pretty much like your part time job at McDonalds.

Sure, you go earn a paycheck from time to time, but the $$$ sucks ass.

Loppy, Is Folsom all cleaned up now? A few weeks ago there was debris everywhere. I have been riding at Berryessa, a little out of the way for you but the past couple of weeks have been great.

Loppy- You will thank me for this. Sacramento River just north of Elkhorn Blvd. by Swabbies. The best water bar none around here.

elmerfudd: Used to make a good living at it not too long ago. Made a few vids. Worked for Thruster back in the old days. Had his own binding company for awhile. Good photographer and hits some events and still shoots for mags and stuff here and there. He still rides like a pro.

Kevthayer: We love the Berry Sauce. In fact, a ton of us are heading there last weekend in July. We have reserved half of Spanish Flat. Twisted Evil I love that lake.

Board2die: Aint that called Navrona? something like that. I know a killer little ramp under the I5 bridge just north of the airport, that's a good put in. Are you talking about where the Feather river comes in? hang a left and go up? I used to hang up there years ago... looks like we'll have to check it out again.

Thanks fellas.

Oh, and Kev... Folsom is still dirty. not NEAR as bad as it was three weeks ago... but there is still some floaters out there. They are getting smaller though every weekend, as more boats push it all to the shore. last two times I was out, I even stopped and pulled a few of the prop busters out and shored em. Going for the Karma. Must have worked, because last weekend I was with three boats, the other two bent props and mine is just fine. Very Happy

I immagine it will be totally clean here in a few weeks.

Sick! I really dig that spot. Even on busy weekends we pull right up and dip. I've never seen the parking lot more than half full. The side current is gnarly, so a good boat driver is a must. But we've had no problems. Thanks.

Loppy, Current isn't as bad now with the newer configuration (angled), but it's still there. You can always go over the river and come down on the Yolo side and put in at that small ramp south of I-5, too. No current right where you dip, but as soon as you back out.....watch out for the pilings! Shocked

Yer good. I left too many clues huh. But I didn't drop the name... thats what counts right? Very Happy

I've known Mike since he was in Jr High. Our wives were best friends in high school. Straight up the coolest cat I've ever know. And even in his mid 30's, can still huck big like you young doods.

Oh, the stories I could tell.... Houseboat + Shasta + all of us = Twisted Evil

I'm going to let him pick. He'll prolly want to go to Bell Aqua...
