i have a problem with sliding out on my 180's. it feels good, but the landings suck. and i know i have to work on my progressive edge some more.

as soon as you landed you went to your HS. You should put more pressure on your TS to edge out away from the boat.

initiate the rotation with the handle so you can keep it in closer throughout the rotation. this will help you get over your toes and help from sliding out on the landings.

upon landing, try to start edging out into the flats.

Try to bend your knees a little more when you land also, and lean over your toes more coming down for the landing

Turn your board more than you think you need to. I struggled with this last year and had to really exaggerate the 180 and then it was a piece of cake. Anytime I wouldn't rotate enough I would slide out.

"Edge away" is how the guys on the WakeTrix DVD end every trick. It's all about maintaining the progessive edge all the way past the completed trick. Even as your setting up for the jump, be aiming to end up in the flats.

Hm...posting a video of yourself for critique...that sounds familiar...

Good rotation and everything, whenever your about to land kinda give a little extra wummf to the spin and kick your back leg back, where your cutting hard into the flats.

That's kind of misleading advice

What helped me was trying to put the handle in your back pocket. That forces you to land over your toes. That same thing helps with all heelside landings. It helped me with my HS R2R and my HS 5.

I can't tell for sure but it looks like you're looking down on the landing. If you look up to the shore you're travelling towards it will help keep your back straight so that you can land your toes. I fixed the same problem by looking up at the sky to overcome the looking down thing.

I've found it easiest to think of it as pushing my chest out towards the shore, and keep going across the wake 180 degrees from where u jumped. Don't cut back towards the boat

Everything looks good all the way up to when u landed....i think its because when you land you lean to your heelside....i think you need to continue your edge on your TS once you land....hope i helped a little Smile

I had the same problem earlier this season, i corrected mine by getting more comfortable riding switch. i was amazed at how much easier my landings became.
Good luck with it!!!!!!!!!
