No one seems to be replying to your post....and thats no fun, so i'll give it a go.

Just by looking at the wake and not knowing what kind of boat it is, i would say, get as many people in the boat as is legal, and move them around until the wake at least cleans up a bit. If that fixes things a bit, then go out and spend the cash on some 250 lb sacks and mess around with that.

I would definately try putting some weight on the drivers side and see if that clears the wash out.

Put some weight in the bow and trim up the motor.

Also, make sure you get a non-stretch rope!!!

judging by the picture im 90% sure that you have an outboard, probably around 25 ft...am i right? i have a 26' scarab sportster outboard and the wake looks almost identical but there are ways to make do, trust me. if its like my boat though, ballast just makes the wake more washed out..

BoarderX, about 20. at least im pretty sure bout that.

raptorschild, yeah, the next time i go out im bringing some more people. its not my boat tho, like my dad is in this club thing where we can take out w/e boat we want so i can prolly only get bout 6 people on.

jkeubanks, yeahh this picture is from last year, i bought a new non-stretch rope in the beginning of this season and its 100 times better Very Happy

Craig-R, accctually its a i/o and i think its 23. lol thanks tho, ill try and get a bunch of people on it before i go spend a bunch on the ballast

Yeah, you need to get some people in the front of that boat. That wake looks like the one I learned on.

Good luck!

Looks more like you're going 15...how far out are you riding? Even though it's a stretchy rope, it's sagging an awful lot to be cruising at 20 mph.

Speed that thing up (don't trust a speedo - they're often wrong), then trim, get some weight up front and it'll be better.

There is only one thing you can do about a crappy wake. Screw all the ballast stuff and start wakeskating. You'll thank me once you start skating.

like craig said, his wake (in my opinion) looks like that and him and david-d still manage to get HUGE air, so i think you will be ok.
