Sharp Edges

I just bought a new board and my hand ran down the edge. it felt like i got a million splinters. will this go away? does it have to stay? could i do something like sandpaper it?

yeah its probably just the topsheet that didn't get sanded down enough, just get some 200+ sandpaper and go along it real quick.

Yeah I've done that before.. but I really did get splinters. It sucked.

Wetsand it with fine grit and all will be well.
