I'm in Islamorada every weekend and I see some wakeboarders around. Anybody on here ride in the Florida keys? _________________ I love the smell of napalm in the morning |

| I have a house right by the Great American Sportsman..its weird that you would make this post because I live in maryland and im leaving for my summer house this friday and I was thinking about bringing my wakeboard, even though our boat there is only a 17 foot mako CC. The wakeboarding would probably be decent in front of the Lorelie in the morning..If the water wasnt so shallow in front of the sportsman it would be pretty good there also. |

Ya the water does get shallow in some places but thoes are the only places that are calm enough. I know a few places that are around the whale harbor tiki bar that are pretty decent. I saw hyperlite filmed in some of the places down in Islamorada that i ride at, so they cant be that bad _________________ I love the smell of napalm in the morning |

| Oh, I never really thought about in front of whale harbor. The only problem I have with wakeboarding there is that my uncle and I caught 4 hammerhead sharks there one day and my friend has caught a shovelhead shark there. Other than that it would be pretty good. I wonder if the hardware store down there has sandbags or soemthing, I could turn my mako into a wakeboard boat for the day and attach the rope to the poling platform. |

I've seen people down there wakeboarding behind flats boats but they don't tie up to the platform. Be careful that it dosn't rip out. Oh and did you have to tell me about the sharks! lol _________________ I love the smell of napalm in the morning |

| LiQuiDFoI2ce if your boat doesn't put up a good wake just wakeskate. We tire are rope to our poling platform for wakeskating on our mako and it works fine. |
