|
| Long story short, I let my sister's family use my boat and they filled it up with Wal-mart regular. Now the motor runs like crap and constantly bogs down. It is a Johnson GT150 that has only run on Amoco Super Premium up until this point. I know I need to change the plugs, but do I need to run some sort of cleaner through it first? |

| couldn't you just throw some octane booster in it and just run through it? If you can't run through it all pretty quickly, run it down a bit and top it off with good stuff... I can't believe it'd be worth the effort of draining it... |

| I've run all of the bad gas out of it and have run a tank full of premium through it since. It still bogs down and dies when you give it gas. You have to nurse it along until the RPM's come up, otherwise it dies everytime you try and go. Someone told me there was a cleaner for two strokes that I should run through it before changing the plugs, but they couldn't remember what it was called. |

Sounds like more than poor gas to me...
Might want to check your timing, plugsm, fuel filter etc...
could be any number of things and be boiling down to coincidence more than anything... _________________ www.AxisBoats.co.uk | www.Malibu-Boats.co.uk |

| yeah, that's what I'm thinking too - check all the filters, etc... if it's EFI, there's injector cleaners you could run through as well... |
