|
|
I started wakeboarding last summer and I always had alot of trouble clearing the wake on my boat..this summer i tried my friend's 122 liquidforce and it made a world of difference. Not only do i clear it but I am able to land way out in the flats.. Right now I ride a 132 trip, I am 5'6" and i weight around 120. Should I buy a shorter board? Also, when I am trying to cut out as far as I can front side my toes usually get caught in the water..waht does this mean? It only happens to me on my board.
Boards I'm interested in so far is the breyerly and the ps3 but they only come in 132 and 133. Can anyone help me out?
Please do not tell me to work on my progressive edge because it is not only that that is keeping me from getting the distance and height that I am able to get with shorter boards. |

I think you may have the answer to your question made up in your mind already. Would I get a board that better suits my style of riding, and allows me better control and more pop? Why of course I would. However, at your size, I can only assume you arent very old, nor are you finished growing. So from that stand point, I would some what question the notion of going smaller, when you are only going to get bigger. Then again, I have no clue of your parents means of income, so if it is on the high side, I would say go for it. If you see that your parents are in debt, and working like crazy, I would suggest give them a break, and grow into what you have now. But like I said earlier, it sounds as though you have already made you mind up and you just want people to say go for it, and then you can run and tell your parents that people on wakeboarder.com said it would be better for you... It is completely up to you! _________________

| I have a job so money isnt really a problem..can you give me an idea for a board and for a size? I was thinking that maybe a 132 beyerly might do the trick for me just because of the way the board is shaped. The problem for me is that there arent too many boards that i like that come smaller than 132. |

| It's wider than normal, so it's basically the same amount of mass just shorter. |

yep...that's right...you ride the fish about 10cm shorter so if you normally ride a 135, you'd need the fish 125 |
